Auto Chess is a strategy game with unique and interesting concepts for now. This auto-battling game has a simple game mechanism. We only need to arrange each pawn (character / Hero) on the board and watch them fight.

5 Strongest Synergy in Auto Chess

Eits, actually, this game is not that simple. The pawns in Auto Chess have different classes and races. Every pawn that is played based on the class structure or the appropriate race can have an effect in battle.

This effect is known as synergy. Often, synergy becomes one of the important references in measuring and assessing potential strength during battles.

In this paper, I will provide the five strongest synergies in Auto Chess according to the current metagame. Please refer to the following description.

1. Divinity - Mage

Key Pawn: God of War, God of Thunder, The Source, Shining Dragon, Thunder Spirit, and Storm Shaman.

Divinity Synergy has the effect of reducing the cooldown duration of skills issued by each pawn. Reducing the duration of the cooldown skill can reach 75% if we have God of War and God of Thunder on the game board.

On the other hand, Mage synergy has the effect of reducing the durability of enemy magic attacks by 35% (for three Mage pawns) and 45% (for six Mage pawns).

In the current metagame, class synergy from Divinity and Mage is still a very good choice to win the top three. Although it was previously nerfed, Divinity - Mage's ability was still strong enough to fight at the end of the game.

The main strength of this synergy is the magic attack of skills released by Mages. Magical Damage that is produced quickly and in a row can quickly crush the enemy that is being blocked by God of War.

The disadvantages of Divinity-Mage synergy are Neutral Round and Storm Shaman. If we don't have a God of War that is strong enough to withstand Neutral Round attacks, monsters in Neutral Round will easily kill a row of Mages who don't have a high enough level of defense.

Furthermore, Storm Shaman can be the only pawn that can thwart all attacks from Mage pawns. Because the Storm Shaman has the Static Storm skill which can cause silence to the Hero inside the Mage's plot area.

2. Knight - Dragon

Key Pawn: Hell Knight, Frost Knight, Lightblade Knight, Evil Knight, Argali Knight, Dragon Knight, Shining Dragon, and Venom.

Knight Synergy may be one of the synergies that are quite rewarding for now. By playing the six Knight pawns, there is a 30% chance to activate a shield that can withstand damage gained for three seconds.

On the other hand, Dragon synergy allows all Dragon-type pawns to get 100 Mana instantly at the start of the fight. Thus, we can immediately activate and change the Dragon Knight into a Dragon at the beginning of the fight.

Merging the synergy of Knight and Dragon is quite strong in the current meta. The reason is, this synergy has a fairly balanced ability in terms of attack and defense.

Unfortunately, the synergy of Knight and Dragon is not a synergy that is easy enough to master. The reason is, to get a series of Knight's pawns requires a fairly large level of luck.

There are still other weaknesses of this synergy. If we haven't got the eight key pawns above, we can easily be defeated early in the game.

3. Knight - Glacier

Key Pawn: Defector, Desperate Doctor, Hell Knight, Frost Knight, Lightblade Knight, Evil Knight, Argali Knight, Dragon Knight, and Berserker.

Besides being combined with Dragon synergy, Knight is also very suitable to be combined with Glacier. Because the Glacier synergy can provide an additional 35% of attack speed.

With the Glacier effect, Knight will have high attack power on the game board. The combination of Knight and Glacier synergy is very suitable to be used against enemies who do not have a good level of physical defense, such as Mage or Hunter.

There are three main pawns that can be relied upon to produce damage, namely Lightblade Knight, Berserker, and Dragon Knight. All three can be key to the game in the synergy of Knight and Glacier.

Knight and Glacier synergy are quite difficult to achieve. Because, we must immediately get the main important pawns to activate the Glacier effect, which is the Berserker which is very difficult to obtain.

In addition, Hell Knight and Argali Knight also must immediately be two-star to increase their endurance in battle. Without good defense, enemies can easily destroy pawns on the front lines and crush important pawns on the back lines.

4. Divinity - Assassin

Key Pawn: God of War, God of Thunder, Abyssalcrawler, Water Spirit, Lord of Sand, Venom, Shadowcrawler, and Shining Assassin.

Assassin's synergy has the effect of making Assassin's pawns offer critical attacks. With three Assassin pawns, we can give 3xdamage in 15% chance.

Whereas with the six Assassin pawns, we can give 4xdamage in 15% chance. When these conditions are aided by strong defense from the pawns of God of War, the Assassin can quickly finish off enemies from the backline.

Divinity's presence does not only bring Mage into one of the strongest meta synergies. This situation also makes the Assassin's synergy strong enough to survive the late game well.

Thanks to the critical attack of the six Assassins, an enemy that does not have a pawn with a good level of defense will be very difficult to defend.

The weakness of the Synergy of Divinity and Assassin lies in the level of enemy defense. Therefore, enemies who have synergy with the level of defense will tend to be more difficult to defeat, such as the synergy of Warrior or Knight.

Therefore, before deciding to play with the Assassin synergy, we must first ensure a series of enemy synergies that we will face.

5. Hunter - Cave Clan

Key Pawn: Redaxe Chief, Swordman, Egersis Ranger, Skull Hunter, Dwarf Sniper, Wind Ranger, Siren, Tsunami Stalker, and Storm Shaman.

Hunter Synergy can deal additional damage by 80 points (if playing six Hunter pawns). With Hunter synergy, we can increase the attack power on the game board very well.

On the other hand, the Cave Clan's synergy is just a mere helper synergy with the effect of increasing the maximum amount of HP from the Cave Clan's pawn by 600 points (if all the Cave Clans are installed).

The combination of Hunter and Cave Clan's synergy is fairly strong and easy to obtain. Some Hunter and Cave Clan pawns are relatively easy to find in the purchase column.

For the record, to get a good attack power, some strong pawns should be prioritized to be purchased and upgraded as soon as possible, such as Dwarf Sniper, Skull Hunter, and Wind Ranger.

The weakness of the Hunter and Cave Clan's synergy lies in the low defense power against magic attacks. The synergy of the two is fairly easy to defeat with a series of skills from a Mage pawn.

In that condition, one of the synergies to watch out for is Divinity - Mage or Human - Mage. However, by pocketing Storm Shaman (one of the Cave Clan pawns), we can do a silent Mage pawn and defeat it in the right momentum.


Although the five synergies of Auto Chess above are fairly strong, we cannot just apply them in the game. Because, with the Random Number Generated (RNG) mechanism, we need the luck factor to get the pawn we want easily.
