Now, in the Gamescom Opening Night Live, Infinity Ward developers announced that fans will also have the opportunity to try the multiplayer and new 2vs2 mode at the PlayStation 4 ' open-alpha ' trial starting on August 23, reported Polygon.

The announcement was revealed with a short trailer featuring 2vs2 mode. ' Open-alpha ' will come with five maps, Stack, King, Speedball, Dock, and Pine.

Modern Warfare multiplayer has actually been simplified with the aim of returning to the core of the Modern Warfare series. Infinity Ward slows down the net to make it more tactical. The presence of 2vs2 mode is of course very much awaited because players only have one life per one round of play.

The new Modern Warfare will not be a remake of the game released in 2007 but will be a ' re-imagining ' of the title series.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is also rumored to be supporting cross-platform features. Yes, gamers on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One can meet each other.

This cross-platform feature is certain to be present when the game is officially released and not launched in the form of DLC or new updates.

Unfortunately, the presence of this feature raises the pros and cons. Yes, some gamers claim the cross-platform feature is unfair. Because gamers on a PC can play on the keyboard and mouse, so that makes better control.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released on October 25 and will be available on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
