PUBG Corporation finally presents a cross-play feature on the console version of PUBG. Yes, it means that now the PUBG players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can meet each other.
Reported by The Verge, the cross-play feature on the console version of PUBG will be tested on a public test server at the end of September 2019.
It is planned that if there are no problems, this cross-play feature will be launched on the main server in early October 2019.
This information was revealed at the Xbox Inside event at the Gamescom 2019 event.
"Our main goal is to present this cross-play feature so that 100 players from both consoles can play and fight in the same match," said Cecilia Lee, Community Manager of PUBG Corporation.
"The second goal is to increase PUBG matchmaking time. We estimate the matchmaking time will be faster because of the wider number of players, "he continued.
PUBG participates in the competition of games that present cross-play. Previously, the Battle Royale Fortnite game also presented these features for all platforms, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. In addition, the Rocket League game also features cross-platform play.
The presence of this feature certainly makes gamers can enjoy the game together with the wider gamer community.
In addition to this new feature, PUBG will also launch Season 4. In this fourth season, the focus is on Erangel. Yes, there are big changes in this oldest map, starting balancing weapons and vehicles, as well as healing items.
Previously, PUBG has also made several updates on Erangel. The most visible changes are in several cities such as Prison, Mylta Power, and Military Base. This location is transformed into more detail and looks like a new location.
Building details are added as a form of balancing in the game. So that new and old players can fight fairly.
PUBG Season 4 will be launched on the PC platform on July 24, 2019. Then, for the PlayStation 4 platform and the new Xbox One will be released this summer.
