Pokémon Go Scores Break 1 Billion Record Download!

Since its release in 2016, Pokémon Goterus has made a phenomenon. Opening early August 2019, Pokémon Go has made a record of being the first game to be downloaded more than 1 billion times on two iOS and Android platforms. This figure is certainly very large considering that there have never been other video games played by more than 1 billion people.

Pokemon Go

Superdatapernah mentions that Pokémon Go is played by more than 150 million people per month. Even though it was doubtful it would experience a decline in popularity, this record proves that Niantic and Nintendo managed to keep the content for one of their best games.

Just look at the entry content of Team Rocket some time ago. Every year, the game in Pokémon Go is always refreshed. More than 3 years released, Pokémon Go has included hundreds of Pokémon that players can collect by capturing them directly in the open.

Niantic spawned Harry Potter: Wizards Unite after the success of Pokémon Go. Unfortunately, there are no significant achievements shown by the game. In fact, Unite Wizards has several new aspects that appear superior to Pokémon Go.

On the other hand, Pokémon Go is challenged by the AR game made by Mojang, Minecraft Earth. In contrast to the premise of the Niantic AR game, Minecraft Earth has more lively interactions to build construction outside of the original world and the game inside.
