The trend of shifting console and PC games to mobile games is increasingly being felt. The latest, following the Players Unknown Battle Grounds (PUBG) which already have a mobile version, now turn to Call of Duty (COD) which will also have a mobile version.
Quoted JawaPos.com from USAToday, Thursday (28/3), about the First Person Shooters (FPS) game genre, the mobile version will actually have been busy since late 2018. Now, the game made by Activision is rumored to really have a mobile version in the middle of this year.
Activision directly revealed this in the Game Developers Conference arena. In an effort to realize the Call of Duty on the mobile device, Activision teamed up with a famous Chinese game developer, Tencent. Tencent itself is a developer of the PUBG Mobile game.
As mentioned above, Call of Duty Mobile is planned to be launched in the middle of this year. Reportedly the shootout will reportedly be played by smartphones based on Android and iOS.
Despite coming for the mobile version, later this game will also adopt many features and modes in the PC and console versions. Call of Duty Mobile can be downloaded for free by users which includes various maps, weapons, characters, and game modes from the Call of Duty series: Black Ops and Modern Warfare.
Among the multiplayer modes that came to the mobile game, the company said it included Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, and Free-For-All. The maps included in this mobile version, for example, Nuketown, Crash, Hijacked, and others.
For information, the collaboration of the two-game developers is not the first time. Prior to this collaboration, Activision and Tencent also developed an online Call of Duty specifically for the Chinese market in January 2015.
